Our systems are easily extensible with additional sensors, arms, defensive sprays and other effectors. Communication may take place over standard IEEE  80211a/b/g wireless Ethernet or 900MHZ radios.

  • Mapping buildings and outdoor spaces
  • Localization indoors and in GPS-blocked spaces, accurate to +/-2cm, +/-10 degrees; micro-precision possible with additional sensors; outdoor localization depends on GPS quality
  • Navigation, point to point, while avoiding obstacles
  • Ability to integrate obstacle avoidance sensors (sonar, additional lasers, etc.)
  • Named destinations (x,y, theta) within the map
  • Defined forbidden areas in the map
  • Dynamically changeable destinations, wirelessly, from control software
  • Ability to schedule automatic map updates
  • Status messages (e.g., "goal reached")
  • Power monitoring and docking behaviors for automatic recharging
