GuiaBot Human Robot Interaction Platform

The GuiaBot is a high quality, differential-drive robot designed for HRI research projects that require reliable, continuous use or a large payload. The GuiaBot is based on the sturdy PatrolBot platform, and has been designed to carry effectors and sensors over all normal indoor surfaces in wheelchair-accessible facilities.

With TouchScreen interface connected to the robot's rugged on-board computer, the GuiaBot is a perfect starting platform for interactive applications.  Setting up programs and behaviors is a snap with MobileRobots Pioneer SDK, included with every platform.  

Using the Laser Mapping & Navigation System and MobileEyes, GuiaBot can map buildings and constantly update its position within a few cm while traveling in mapped areas.  The robot is equipped with audio and video interaction accessories, so you can see the robot’s view remotely, speak, play and hear audio, and send the robot on patrol.

In addition, the Docking Station allows for 24x7 operation, as the onboard software can autonomously dock the GuiaBot at the charging station when needed.
