FUNCTIONALITY

Impress your tenants with automated building
technology they can see & touch!
Many of the building technologies that add value to prestige addresses
are invisible. PatrolBottm Guides
embody WiFi, integrated security, visitor access control and
environmental optimization technologies in a way that tenants and guest
can see and touch!
PatrolBottm
Guides await
important
guests in the lobby, guide them and then
return to their posts. At each point in their duties, they say
appropriate, pre-recorded messages or play your own custom messages. If
people or objects block their way, PatrolBots will circumvent them, if
possible. If not, they will ask
them to move. But if security calls, PatrolBot will sound an
alarm, head to the scene of intrusion or emergency and do as bid to
help:
- Serve
as a manual remote camera and 2-way sound system, operating at the
behest of the facilities manager
- Travel
through a dark building, sounding an alert and providing light to lead
people to an exit
- Fetch
supplies needed from someone in another part of the building
Under
normal conditions, the PatrolBot Guides operates in the following modes:
TOUR GUIDE MODE
- Greets
visitors
- Travels
to a sequenced set of goals
- Provides
recorded narration at each goal
- Takes
leave of visitors
- Returns
to its docking station
PatrolBot

RECEPTIONIST MODE

INTEGRATED MODE

Emergency Assist Mode above
- Transmitting
information to the control center from robot-based sensors

PatrolBot Guide
with optional surveillance system
|
PatrolBot
Guides are based on sophisticated autonomous robotic mapping
and navigation capabilities uniquely available commercially in
ActivMedia Robots. Robots create maps by recording and comparing the
movements and
distances sensed by motor shaft encoders, radial gyroscope and laser
rangefinder
Using complex stochastic techniques, the robot calculates its current
position in relationship to the surrounding structure. The robot then
calculates
the best route to its next destination, considering any obstacles in
its
path. This "best route" is frequently updated to reflect the
movement
of people and objects that might block its way.
MANY
VARIED PATROLBOT OPTIONS can be incorporated into the PatrolBot
Guide to provide surveillance and monitoring functions, including:
- pan-tilt-zoom

- 2-way audio
- 360-degree cameras
- wireless
ethernet communications
- PatrolBot
remote viewing and control station software
- heat, smoke, gas and
other sensing
