Another Great Installation Experience!
I couldn't wait to tell you of the success here at Fairfax [Hospital]... We ran our first full "robot shift" yesterday between 2pm and 8pm. Shift change at 5pm was hilarious! The staff immediately started relying on the robots for deliveries.. the BOD - Bot on Duty - never gets a rest. It is in constant motion...
We had one localization problem in that time due to my error in remapping a delivery area. All other events were due to human error (not familiar with the interface, misplaced goal headings, etc).
I'm trying to make it look harder but essentially, the robots handle the lab with ease. I can now concentrate on what I really want to do which is refine the job description, fault tolerance, and personalities.
Now is when you realize just how well engineered and far ahead MobilRobot's bases are...

Working Perfectly after Several Years...
We
proudly own several Pioneers and one Powerbot from quite a few years,
all working perfectly, and we have now the opportunity (i.e. the
budget!) to acquire some additional accessories for them.

Customer Support....
As I
mentioned in my first email I am going to be buying a robot...the
question is whether a [competitor's robot] or a Pioneer
II. Presently,
I am leaning towards your product purely by the support your
user group gives/receives via email.
