What is a
ROBOT-READY
building?
Set a robot
in the doorway; click where you want it to go on the floorplan on your
display. In a Robot-Ready building, the robot will drive there,
avoiding obstacles along the way -- to bring supplies to a hazardous
area, to gather sensor data, or to perform whatever task you care to
set it to! When a building is mapped with LaserPlans or other
raster-based as-built scan, any robot with MotivityTM
can autonomously navigate the building.

TECHNOLOGY
The LaserPlans data
collector can reproduce the actual shape of a room,
even if it's curved! LaserPlans' laser-rangefinder scans 360 points
over a 180 degree sweep
simultaneously, so it measures up to 1,000 sq. ft. per minute with
resolution up to 0.04 inch, <1% cumulative linear error and <0.1%
area error in a building of 15,000sf or greater. Because of
unique dynamic position
updating software, absolute accuracy is not dependent upon building
size. Recommended range is 10 feet from the
device to the nearest
wall.
LaserPlans
can measure buildings of any size.
